About Baku with Absheron, Gabala & Guba Tour (5N6D)

Ready to experience Baku, Azerbaijan? First up, you'll touch down at the airport and get whisked off to your hotel for check-in. Chill out and settle in – you'll need that downtime.
The next morning, hit up for breakfast at the hotel, then gear up for a city tour. Start with the wild Flame Towers lighting up the skyline with their crazy LED shows. Stroll through the Alley of Martyrs for some history vibes, then head up to Highland Park for sick views of the city and bay. Down at Baku Boulevard, peep the International Mugham Center celebrating Azerbaijani music, and check out the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum – it's like a giant rolled-up carpet, no joke! Cruise through Little Venice, with its mini canals and gondolas – straight-up give charming vibes. Wrap it up with a stroll through Icherisheher (Inner City), a UNESCO gem with the ancient Maiden Tower and the lush Palace of Shirvanshahs.
Kick off the 3rd day with a 9 AM pickup after chowing down on hotel breakfast. Gabala's a cool 4-hour drive from Baku, once the hotshot capital of Caucasian Albania way back when. Cruise past the Russian Forest, river valleys, and the famous Chestnut Forest, with pit stops at the legit Bucket Bazaar for fresh fruits and veggies sold by the bucketload – old-school style. Nohur Lake’s your next stop, with killer views of the Caucasus Mountains. Then hike through thick woods to the Yeddi Gozel Waterfall, named for its seven cascades straight from the mountain peak. Tufandag’s your ultimate spot, where you can hit the slopes in winter or ride cable cars up in summer. They've got ATV rides, zip-lining, and even horseback riding if you're down. Oh, and don’t miss the Gabala Shooting Club for some target practice in the wilds – if that’s your thing. Lunchtime's all about eco-fresh grub with a mountain backdrop before we head back to Baku for the night.
Up and at 'em by 8 AM, we’re heading to Guba after a solid breakfast spread on day 4. First up? Beshbarmag Mountain is famous for its myths and local prayers – it’s all about soaking up that good luck vibe. Guba city’s next, where you’ll check out the Juma Mosque and the intricate Sakina-Khanum Mosque, both steeped in history. But no Guba trip's complete without a peek into the Carpet Weaving Factory, where they're keeping ancient art alive with their sick designs and vibrant colors. After geeking out over carpets, you can snag some souvenirs before we roll back to Baku, ready to crash for the night.
Start your 4th day with a hearty breakfast and gear up for an exploration of Absheron. Venture out to Gala Village, where you'll step back in time at the State Historical Ethnographic Reserve and Open-Air Museum, experiencing Azerbaijani life from the 10th to 19th centuries. Next, visit the Ateshgah Fire Temple in Surakhani, a historic site built around natural flames worshipped by Zoroastrians and Hindus centuries ago, now a captivating open-air museum. Continue to Yanardag (Burning Mountain), where natural gas causes perpetual flames that have fascinated visitors for millennia, including Marco Polo. On your way back to Baku, admire the striking Heydar Aliyev Centre by Zaha Hadid from the outside and capture some memorable shots next to the "I love Baku" sign.
On day 6, savor your final breakfast at the hotel, pack up, and check out by noon. Bid farewell to Baku as you're transferred to the airport for your departure, carrying unforgettable memories of your journey through Azerbaijan's rich history, culture, and natural wonders.
